A broader Newton Signature Program

More ways to qualify for lower fees and referral benefits

Newton Signature is expanding with new Gold and Onyx statuses, a lower Platinum fee on BTC, ETH and USDC, automatic status updates and expanded referral benefits.

These changes are now live.

Your Signature status is based on the total CAD value of your eligible buys, sells and swaps over the trailing 365 days. This is your trailing 365-day trading volume.

Silver and Diamond trading fees remain unchanged.

What's changing

Gold joins the Signature Program

Gold applies to clients with at least $100,000 CAD in trailing 365-day trading volume.

Gold clients receive a fixed 1.00% fee when buying or selling BTC, ETH and USDC. Fees for other assets and eligible BTC/ETH swaps remain within their applicable ranges.

Platinum fees are now lower

The Platinum fee when buying or selling BTC, ETH and USDC is decreasing from 1.00% to 0.85%.

Platinum fees for other assets and eligible BTC/ETH swaps remain fixed at 1.00%.

Onyx becomes the highest Signature status

Onyx applies to clients with at least $5 million CAD in trailing 365-day trading volume.

The Onyx trading fee is fixed at 0.05% on buys, sells and swaps.

Signature status updates automatically

Moving up: Your status updates automatically when your trailing 365-day trading volume reaches the next threshold. No action is required.

Moving down: If your volume falls below your current requirement, you’ll keep your existing status and fees during a 30-day review period. If your volume returns to the required amount within that period, your status will not change. Otherwise, it will update automatically at the end of the 30 days.

Expanded referral benefits

Eligible Signature members can earn up to $100 CAD per eligible referral and give a friend 14 days of access to their Signature trading fees.

The friend must be a new Newton client who signs up using the member’s referral link and trades at least $100 CAD within 90 days.

The referral reward is based on the member’s eligible trading volume at the time the friend completes the referral requirements. Terms apply.

For complete eligibility requirements and referral details, visit the Newton Referral Program page.
